The New Shape of Spin. Following on the heels of the VCORE SV model it replaces, the VCORE 100 (300) has been meticulously engineered for the speed and spin of the modern game. At 300g unstrung, this racquet is weighted for intermediate players, but it should also work for the advanced player who wants a light player's racquet with plenty of room for weight customization. With this update, Yonex reduces wind drag by expanding the location of the Aero Fin grooves to include the lower portion of the head. This technology is complemented by an Aero Trench grommet system that submerges the grommets to further reduce wind resistance. The upshot of these technologies is easier acceleration, which will help you load the ball with more pace and spin. The VCORE 100 also gets updated with a material called Namd, which is a unique graphite designed to increase frame torque, ball pocketing and spin. From the baseline, the VCORE 100 (300) moves fast for its weight and spin comes very easy. There's also plenty of feedback off-center, which will make you feel more connected to the ball. At net, this racket errs on the side of speed over stability, making it great on reaction volleys or springing into action when opportunity knocks. According to our playtesters, this racket's whippy acceleration and spin-friendly response make it a great serving racket. Updated with a more aerodynamic feel, the VCORE 100 (300) is a great choice for those who want a spin-friendly racket with easy targeting on full swings. The highest-spin producing racket in company history, the new VCORE embraces the latest in Yonex technology, such as a drag-reducing Aero Trench and Liner Tech. Racket used on tour by Angelique Kerber (Ger), Denis Shapovalov (Can) and Caroline Garia (Fra), among many others.
