The V-Feel 1 updates the V-Sense 1 with some new material technologies while keeping the same power and comfort that made this racket perfect for beginners. It should also work for the savvy doubles specialist who is looking to regain a lost step. Like the previous generations, the V-Feel 1 comes with a unique Power Arm, which is a free moving throat piece that anchors the center main strings. The result is increased shock absorption along with higher power. With its extended length (27.8″), the V-Feel 1 will not only give you extra reach, but it will make it easier for you to hit more powerful groundstrokes. Like the other V-Feel models, this racket features V-Feel Technology, which is anchored by a substance called VCell, a light and strong cellulose material added to the layup for improved feel and responsiveness. Other V-Feel technologies include updates to both the butt cap and VSENSOR handle, which has been reinforced with a material technology called REVA for greater shock absorption. From the baseline the V-Feel 1 not only feels wonderfully plush and solid at impact, but it plays surprisingly fast for an extended length racquet. Players with compact and medium length strokes will find easy depth on groundies, while those who swing it fast will be rewarded with blistering pace. The open 16×17 string pattern not only launches the ball at a higher trajectory (for easier net clearance), but it will also help you bring the ball down sharply with spin. At net the V-Feel 1 provides a luxurious hitting area for making clean contact with the ball, with more than enough power to close out points with a bang. This racket’s extended length not only makes for lethal overheads, but it will give you a major power boost on serve. Anyone looking for a speedy oversize racquet with truly impressive comfort and power should give this racket a serious look.
